So we stop in Eagle, Colorado. Meet Gus!<\/p>\n<p>Also met a nice lady at the information desk. She totally recommended the route south taking US 24 through the mountains versus going through Denver. It has 14 of the 14000+ ft mountains in route. This will put us in OK City later than planned tonight but she said it&#8217;s totally worth it.<\/p>\n<p>Why not? How many times can I say I will be back here driving this route.
